10 MCU Facts That You (Probably) Didn’t Know

By the end of this month, Avengers: Infinity War comes out. To celebrate this milestone for Marvel, I will be writing an article every week about the MCU to build up to the release of Infinity War. You can expect a review of that film the weekend that it releases, but let’s dive right into the first week. With 18 movies that are full of easter eggs, small details that build up to other films, and even some bloopers that made it into the final cut of the movie. This list comprises of ten things that you (probably) did not know about the MCU.

#1: Guardians of the Galaxy: Peter drops the ball

GUARDIANS

In the first Guardians of the Galaxy, we are introduced to The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) who explains the powerful orb to our heroes. This turns out to be the power infinity stone that Thanos gets his hands on in Avengers: Infinity War. Peter (Chris Pratt) hands the orb but ends up dropping it and quickly makes a recovery. This was a complete accident, but director James Gunn loved it. Not only did he like it, but Chris Pratt played it off so well by staying in character, most people assume that it was on purpose. Dropping this all-powerful orb seemed perfectly fitting to Peter’s character. Maybe Chris took on this role because Peter looked a bit relatable.

#2: Bruce Banner’s attempt at suicide can be seen

HULK

If you remember in the first Avengers movie that Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) divulges his attempt on suicide. Due to the rating being PG: 13, we were never shown this scene from The Incredible Hulk. This is back when Edward Norton was Bruce, who would eventually be replaced by Mark in The Avengers. That discussion is not only a great throwback to a deleted scene, but adds a lot to Bruce Banner as a character. You can view this by the deleted scenes from The Incredible Hulk or on YouTube.

#3: There is only one time that Robert Downey Jr. wears the Iron Man suit

Iron-Man-Reboot-Recast-Robert-Downey-Jr.jpg

That is right, he does not actually wear the suit. In the first Iron Man, there is a full suit with some added CGI to bring everything to life. After the film’s release, Downey saw that there was no need for the suit because the CGI is that good. The suit was bulky and uncomfortable anyways, which is not a huge surprise because massive costumes are notorious for being a pain to wear. Ever since that first film, everything has been entirely digital as Robert focuses on bringing his best performance and bring Tony Stark to life.

#4: Chris Evans did not want anything to do with Captain America

Captain america

It is hard to imagine the MCU without people like Chris Evans, but things could have turned out in a way that would have a different actor as Captain America. Due to his poor experience as the Human Torch in the awful Fantastic Four movies, he turned down the role for Captain America three times. The person at Marvel who thought to keep asking Chris for this role is either the most annoying person ever or a genius. The answer is a mix of the two. Chris Evans negotiated a contract that made him more comfortable and decided to go for it. Now it has worked out wonderfully for him.

#5: Paul Bettany’s first time meeting the cast was in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Vision_Forest

Paul Bettany has been J.A.R.V.I.S. since the beginning of the MCU, but this voice work has made him unable to actually work in person with Robert Downey Jr. or any other cast member. When casted to play as Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, this was his first chance to work with cast members in person. In an interview with Business Insider Paul Bettany spoke about this process by saying, “It’s really lovely to finally be working with these people that I’ve been working with for 10 years already,” says Bettany. “It’s a bunch of really creative, talented, funny people who are all playing at the top of their game, and I don’t just mean the cast — who were incredibly welcoming — but I also mean Kevin Feige and [executive producer] Jeremy Latcham and Joss Whedon. They really know how to make these movies.”

#6: Hulk’s new voice

hulk_thor_ragnarok.png

For the longest time Lou Ferrigno has been the voice actor for Hulk, but in Thor: Ragnarok the voice is now Mark Ruffalo. Yes, he was never the previous voice for Hulk. He always played as just Bruce Banner and Hulk in motion capture. Now it is full performance capture by his actions and performing the dialog for the giant green hero.

#7: Vin Diesel actually knows what Groot is saying

groot

You would think how simple Vin Diesel’s life must be to say such simple lines for his role as Groot. However, there is more depth than anyone felt that there was. On Twitter, James Gunn revealed that only him and Vin have a particular script that translates what Groot is saying in English. This added depth certainly helps Vin Diesel understand his character a lot more. Plus he is able to follow along with some added depth that most people will never have.

#8: Tom Holland got only some of the script for Avengers: Infinity War

spiderman.jpg

Tom Holland is excellent at two things: playing as arguably the best Spider-Man and for spoiling significant parts of movies. He was given only some sections of Infinity War to know his role, but as much information was kept from him as possible. These precautions were taken to make sure nothing was spoiled in future interviews, social media, or to anyone he comes across. In an interview Good Morning America with Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch, who stops Tom from a spoiler, we can see it for ourselves on how tempted he was to divulge some information because he genuinely gets excited about his work.

#9: Star Wars tribute with severed hands

hand chopped

Fans may have caught on that a lot of hands were severed in phase two. The reason is Star Wars. In an interview with Cinema Blend Kevin Feige says, ” So I’m obsessed with Star Wars – and it didn’t start out as intentional, but it became intentional, including that beat that you referenced. It sort of happens in every Star Wars movie, but I was sort of looking at it, ‘Okay, is Phase Two our Empire Strikes Back?’ Not really, but tonally things are a little different. Somebody gets their arm cut off in every Phase Two movie. Every single one.”

#10: We almost saw Captain Marvel sooner

marvel

In 2019 we will get our first female MCU film, Captain Marvel. Initially, she was going to be featured at the last scene of Avengers: Infinity War. Joss Whedon wanted her to make her debut here, but not only being a disservice to the character but met some resistance from Kevin Feige. Fans would have wanted more female heroes earlier, but people are generally satisfied that there is a confirm for her debut to be in 2019.

That is it for this list for my build up to Avengers: Infinity War. Comment below on anything that you find interesting that people may not know about the MCU or just about the facts above.  Expect more lists to come out to build the hype for the big battle with Thanos.

Quick News: Captain Marvel News + Stranger Things Season 3 Details + Amon Amarth New Album Details + More!

  • During an interview with Heavy, Amon Amarth gave some new details about their upcoming album. The Swedish Viking band are currently halfway through the writing process and should be released in late 2018. Similar to their last album Jomsviking, the band will continue that progression of their sound. The record will shape up to be their own sound, but able to do somethings differently. You can check out the whole interview by clicking the link above.

  • Some images have been released of Brie Larson preparing for her role as Captain Marvel. She will be helping kick off the next phase of the MCU next year, and we get some hints on what to expect. Brie is going through some military training in preparation for her character. It appears that this aspect of her character will be explored as she goes up the military ladder.  Not much is known yet, but there is speculation that we will get our first look at her in an after credit scene in Avengers: Infinity WarCaptain Marvel is set to be released in 2019.

  • Some details have been given about the next season of the hit Netflix sci-fi show Stranger Things.  Executive producer Shawn Levy has said that the next season takes place one year after season two, taking place in the summer of 1985. This means the school will not be an aspect of the story for the kids which can say a lot for their next adventure. The kids, Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink), will have continued relationships by this time. This is especially interesting since the first two seasons danced around Mike and Eleven’s relationship a lot. Levy discusses the dynamic of their relationships by saying,  “Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas. But again, they’re like 13- or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life? It can never be simple and stable relationships, and there’s fun to that instability.” Also, Steve (Joe Keery) will have an even bigger role to play in the third season. Levy goes into some detail about what Steve’s role will look like by saying,  “We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve.” A lot of character development in between seasons has taken place, and more will be explored during season three. Stranger Things season three starts filming next month, and if they continue the trend, it should be released this fall.

  • Far Cry 5 has broken a record for the series on Steam. The game just released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC last Tuesday and looks like it is doing well on PC. No hard numbers on the consoles, but the numbers on Steam beats any other previous entry in the series. The game has peaked so far with 83, 046 concurrent with 279,799 owners. The only other Ubisoft game with a higher number is The Division that peaked at 113,877. To compare to previous entries of the series, Far Cry 3 was the last record holder with 23,042 concurrent players. No other mentions on how well the game is doing otherwise, but it appears that Far Cry 5 is another hit for Ubisoft.

That is all for the round up of news this week. Be sure to comment on the stories here or anything that I missed.

Video Game Review: A Way Out

Joseph Fares, the mind behind Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, has released his new game under his studio Hazelight Studios. A Way Out was revealed at E3 and took the gaming community by storm. This innovative surprise seemed promising primarily because of the previous game that Joseph worked on.

A Way Out is a coop adventure game that tells a compelling story about two characters, Vincent and Leo. The entire game is coop online and offline, and the central game mechanic is that it is continuously split-screen. The story cuts back and forth between where the characters are in the present and a cutscene that takes place towards the final act of the game. Leo and Vincent bond over a common enemy, Harvey, and break out of prison to hunt him down.

The story and character development are reasonably quickly. This is a short game that has a run time of about five to eight hours. For me, it took about an hour and a half to escape the prison. Most of the game focuses on the adventure to find Harvey. The adventure between these characters is unique and enjoyable but can be predictable at moments. Both Leo and Vincent are well written and acted, same with the side characters they meet on their way through this adventure. Despite the game being short, it takes its time to focus on the characters. Leo and Vincent are some of the most memorable characters in a video game that I have played in a long time. Their dynamic feels organic, and the way their relationship develops is quite believable. The end is solid and satisfying with two different endings that can occur.

The split-screen mechanic seemed like a gimmick at first, but it works wonderfully. Instead of feeling gimmicky, it feels innovative and seamless. The screen is even for both players but will learn towards another character if their cut scene or actions are more important. On occasion, the screen will fill to make one player watch their friend depending on the importance of the moment. Each player gets their own objectives to complete independently and dependently in different situations. This dynamic is excellent and provides for an enjoyable cooperative experience, especially when playing with a close friend.

A WAY OUT 2

Gameplay has a wide variety. While on this adventure you will catch fish, drive cars, shoot enemies, sneak around, find ways to escape a situation, and so much more. There are a ton of mechanics that come into play throughout this short experience. However, not all of them work. Driving feels clunky, shooting feels flat, and many other activities feel like you are playing a rather old game. For the most part, the gameplay feels out of date. When it works, there is a lot of options to interact with people and objects. Games such as baseball and connect four are a joy to play with your friend. Interacting with characters gives you some dialog choices. Dialog options are meant to distract other characters, give you an idea about what options you have in a situation, or just to have a quick chat with one of the various characters you come across. Most of the dialog options are mundane but make the world around you feel more alive. Only a fraction of the chosen dialog is practical while most of it is useless information.

A WAY OUT 1

The main choices about actions to drive the story are lacking. I wish there were more power given to the player in a meaningful way. Only a few of these actions were memorable. I understand the game has a definitive story to tell, but some of the game feels too linear.

Once or twice the game would run poorly. Lag issues from either my end or my friend’s end can occur. So, it may be best to play locally or be sure both players have a good connection. Load screens are either incredibly short or painfully long. Some glitches occurred, but nothing too serious.

Overall, A Way Out is beautiful but has some somewhat inconsistent moments. At times I can stare at the landscape forever, but get distracted by some ugly textures. Plus animations are inconsistent too. I had moments of needing to break through a door, but my friend and I end up phasing through the door. Also, during a driving section, my friend drove through a car like it was a ghost.

Significant issues do plague A Way Out, but its short timing, innovative gameplay, excellently written, and a blast to play with a friend holds it up. The issues are relatively small, but those problems do stack up. I wish the gameplay was tighter and felt better for all or most situations throughout the game. Animations for characters and graphics are solid but can be inconsistent. That is A Way Out in a nutshell, innovative, but inconsistent. I highly recommend this game because of its $30 price point makes it not too much of an investment. Plus if a friend owns the game, you can play in its entirety. You have nothing to lose and will gain a great experience.

Score: 7/10

  • After the last film in the Indiana Jones being overall loathed by fans and critics, and Harrison Ford growing older, we are still getting the fifth film in the series. Whether that is exciting or not is up to you, but the film is being made. On April 2019, Steven Spielberg will begin his work on the film. The original trilogy came out back in the 80s and was beloved by so many. The iconic series was brought down a bit since the mid-2000s sequel Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That film has made fans less ecstatic about a new entry, but they could redeem themselves, who knows? No word on a story, but the film will be filmed in the UK. The last bit of information is that they are debating about making another film. In 2019-2020 will be the release date, so let’s wait to see how things go.

  • If you love a show, then you want the cast and crew to be paid well. We are getting some good news for the cast of Stranger Things. According to Deadline, the cast will be getting a meaty sum of cash for season three. After some negotiating, the cast has reportedly finalized their new salary for the next season of the hit sci-fi show. Winona Ryder and David Harbour as the leading adult cast will have an increase close to $350,000 per episode. While some of the child actors will have an increase to about $150,000 per episode. Millie Bobby Brown is reportedly going to make a bit more than the other boys, but that is not confirmed. Nonetheless, this is excellent news for the cast. Season three is expected to come out towards the end of the year.

  • The hit sci-fi cartoon Rick and Morty has taken the world over by its popularity. Everyone, myself included, can not wait for the next season. So when is it? Well, nobody is sure because there could be a slight issue. This issue is taken place because Adult Swim has not ordered for a new season yet. This news got stirred up earlier in the week, but now we have a more transparent look at what is happening. Show co-creator Dan Harmon made a guest appearance on Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier’s podcast. Dan had this to say, “The reason we’re not working on Rick and Morty right now ain’t because I figured out that I don’t need to impress you. It’s because of a little something called contract negotiations, and it’s gotten complicated this time around.”. Fans will have to be patient because negotiations can take some time. However, the show is so popular that we can expect a return at some point in the future.

  • Many companies do not dispose of information about their metrics publically. That is why Pornhub is such an interesting company for doing so. Fortnite has become such a sensation that it is even impacting one of the most prominent porn sites on the internet. Popular Twitch streamer Tyler Blevins aka “Ninja” streamed a few games with famous rapper Drake. This broke the record for most concurrent views on Twitch. Now Pornhub has weighed in to give everyone a look at their site since this significant event happened on Twitch. The top related search is just Fortnite, before or after Fortnite the top searches were Overwatch and Team Fortress 2, and the countries looking these terms up the most are Finland, Ireland, and France. You can take a look at all of the charts below.

  • In 2016 Captian America: Civil War broke a record for presale tickets for Fandango. Then in January, Black Panther crushed that record for first-day presale tickets. Now in six hours, Avengers: Infinity War smashes that record. We never get precise numbers, but this already colossal movie is set to dominate the year. I already got my tickets and could not be more excited. Speculation occurred that Black Panther could dominate Infinity War. Some felt that way because of the tremendous amount of success and hype backing Black Panther that it was a thought. Now we all know the true king for movies in 2018 looks like it will be Avengers: Infinity War. This film has been built up for a decade with small teases of Thanos here and there. Now we get to see him in action and change the future of the MCU. The film releases April 27 worldwide. You can expect a weekly article from me in April to celebrate and to build up to my review of the film.

A lot of news happened this week. What did you find most interesting? What did I miss that caught your eye?

Quick News: Deadpool 2 Reshoots + Tomb Raider Game + Far Cry 5 Microtransaction + More!

  • If you are keeping your eye out on Deadpool 2, then you may have heard some scary news. A report came out earlier this week about the test screenings for the film went poorly. However, the audience loved it. Collider editor-in-chief Steven Weintraub reports this. Weintraub explained that the audience enjoyed the movie and the reshoots are to give my screentime to characters like Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Cable (Josh Brolin). Now nobody has to be scared anymore that the movie would have to go into reshoots because of a weak audience reaction. Reshoots are common but can give some bad press because of the stigma or if other drama surrounds the project. From what we can tell, Deadpool 2 looks as safe and sound.

  • Just this past Sunday at SXSW, audience members got a first look at the upcoming Steven Spielberg film Ready Player One which is an adaption of the novel of the same name by Ernest Cline. The fans of the book, fans of the references, and fans of the genre as a whole love the film. The film is receiving praise for its visuals, story, music, and fun adventure. As any film adapting from the book, there are some massive changes. One review from Eric Kohn of IndieWire says, “Never, ever underestimate Steven Spielberg. That’s the biggest takeaway from Ready Player One, an immersive sci-fi spectacle about a future overrun by virtual reality gaming that the world’s most famous commercial director has transformed into a mesmerizing blockbuster steeped in callbacks to the best of them. It runs too long and drags a bunch in its final third, but make no mistake: This is Spielberg’s biggest crowdpleaser in years, a CGI ride that wields the technology with an eye for payoff.” Most reviews are positive, some critiques about the film’s depth. Owen Gleiberman from Variety says in his review, “Yet the virtual world that Spielberg creates, though it just about pops off the screen, isn’t an emotionally textured place. Mostly we’re just staring at it, or maybe “riding” it. The contradiction of a video-game/VR movie is that games are, of course, awesomely immersive, whereas a movie about games is more akin to watching somebody else play one. The hoops that Wade and his team have to jump through to win each key feel arbitrary, like rules made up as the plot goes along, and you wish there were a greater sense of intrigue to it. The movie has more activity than it does layers.” You see some mixed opinions, but overall people are happy. It seems that the geek community should be satisfied with its references as long as the first of the film can hold up. The film is holding an 80% on RottenTomoatoesReady Player One is out everywhere on March 29.

  • A leak about a new entry for the latest Tomb Raider series would be given an announcement soon. Now Square Enix has confirmed that the third entry will be called Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The game will release this year on September 14th. Unlike the last title, there will not be any time exclusivity for any consoles. The game will release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Given the information so far, not much is known. However, we can assume Lara is facing the Trinity Organization again. Presumably, there will be some supernatural force to go along with the story and plenty of brutal obstacles for Lara to get past to survive. A full trailer will be released April 27th along with more information coming at E3 in June. The first two titles were developed by Crystal Dynamic who are currently making an Avengers game with the help of Marvel. The studio working on this latest entry is Eidos Montreal. Eidos Montreal is best known for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. That series has been on hold because of weak sales, but Crystal Dynamic is also busy with their new title. You can watch the teaser trailer right here:

  • Daniel Craig said he quit being the 007, but here he is for his final film even though the actor said he would have left a few years ago, but stayed anyway. Now the last James Bond film for Daniel Craig has some development that is rather exciting. Danny Boyle (28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours) has announced that he will be directing during an interview with Gregory Wakeman from Metro UK during a screening of his new FX show Trust. The film is in the writing process and should start filming within the next few months. The release date has currently set to be November 8, 2019.

  • The rock band Skillet has announced that their drummed Jen Ledger will be launching her solo project. The EP is titled Ledger and is expected to release on April 13, through Hear It Loud, a label started by Skillet frontman John Kooper and their other band member who is John’s wife, Korey Cooper. Ledger will focus on both Skillet and her project. She will launch the band by opening for Skillet on an upcoming headlining tour while still drumming for Skillet The tour starts April 12 in Amarillo, Texas.

  • Take this next news lightly, but Far Cry 5 will have microtransactions. No specific details precisely except for a few details. Microtransactions will be available in every mode of the game, but will not fully impact your gaming experience. This process of microtransactions will be used to progress faster in the game similarly to Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Microtransactions will not affect actual gameplay, just a way to speed up progress and buy cosmetic items. Some details are unclear, but gamers looking forward to the game should not worry, I know I am excited and trying not to get too worried. Plus the game was announced that no internet connection would be needed as long as you are not playing with other players. Far Cry 5 comes out March 27, and if you need more information on the upcoming title, you can read my article on the game here.

That is the news for this week. Be sure to give a share to your friends who might find anything here interesting. Comment below how you feel about some of this recent news or something I did not touch on in this article.

What We Know: A Way Out

Joseph Fares’ new game is coming in just a few weeks. If you do not know him, he directed Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons back in 2013. He is currently the director and writer for Hazelight studios, and their new game is A Way Out. The announcement caught the gaming industry by surprise by its unique premise and cooperative gameplay. Here I will give you a rundown of what you need to know for A Way Out.

Release Date and How to Play

The game is scheduled to be released March 23, 2018, and play it on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Story and Characters

Set in the 70s, two prisoners team up to escape prison. Leo and Vincent are the two playable characters who become friends during incarceration. They make a plan to escape, but their adventure does not stop there. Players will follow these characters as they are on the run from the police to find a place to be safe. As you go on the adventure, more information will be discovered about Leo and Vincent. Their characters will flesh out as you learn about their past, goals, and who they are as people.

Gameplay

Just like Brothers, the game will have a unique mechanic that will be the central core of the gameplay. The entire game is meant to be played cooperatively. Whether that is split-screen or online. One player will be Leo, and the other will be Vincent. Even in online you will be playing split-screen to see what the other player is doing. Each person will tackle situations by completing separate assignments. Options for how you go about these situations are up to you. The player as Leo might want to sneak away through a problem, but your friend playing as Vincent knocks out a guy to get through instead. Neither character is assigned a particular objective. The power is in the hands of the players. The gameplay and story are intertwined, so a player could be in a cut-scene while the other is completing an objective. A wide variety of situations from shooting, driving, sneaking, and interacting with characters will all be there to give players more expansive gameplay experience. The game is being clocked in to take 6-8 hours to complete.

Other Facts

The most unusual aspect of this game is that the second player does not need to purchase it. If your friend buys A Way Out, then there will be a way for you to play the game with him/her without spending your money. Players experiencing this narrative is more important to Joseph than making money, which earns a lot of respect from the gaming community. That could draw more respect towards EA who have had a terrible past year regarding how the public view them.

There is not a ton of information on the game, but this will be one experience to go in with being as blind as possible since the narrative is so important. Are you excited for A Way Out? Discuss your opinions about the game in the comments.

What We Know: Far Cry 5

The newest entry in the Far Cry series is coming at the end of the month. After taking some time off since Far Cry Primal, the series is back. Just like what Assassin’s Creed did by taking their break and coming stronger with Origins, the fans of Far Cry will be given a vast new twist to this series. While core mechanics will make the game feel like it always used to be, there are plenty of new additions to make it fresh. Let me get you up to speed with everything in Far Cry 5.

Release Date and Console Content

The game was initially scheduled to come out at the end of February. However, the game got pushed until March 27th, 2018. As usual, the game will be out for PS4, Xbox One (along with its two other versions), and PC. PlayStation players will be able to receive free content, while the other plays on Xbox and PC will have to unlock such content through the Ubisoft Club.

Time and Place Setting of the Game

Initially, the next entry in the Far Cry series was rumored to be a Western. When the game was announced, it was revealed that the game will take place in modern day. The setting is something new. Previously every game has been in places such as Africa, Asia, and other areas around the world. Now we are being taken to Hope County, Montana. The game taking place in America along with its story has been controversial. If you look into the previous games, then you would realize that controversy follows every entry in some capacity.

Story and Characters

You play as the sheriff’s deputy who must combat against a religious cult which has taken over the area. Something must have happened to prevent anyone from leaving Hope County or calling in the National Guard. The family who runs this cult is run by Joseph, also known as The Father. He is teamed up by the oldest brother Jacob, the youngest brother John, and their half-sister Faith. You will have characters team up with you to fight against this enormous threat. Pastor Jerome Jefferies, Mary May, Nick Rye, and animals such as a dog companion. Each of these friends has a specialty of their skills set. Whether you need a sniper or someone to drop bombs from a plane, you will choose a character for that specific job.

Vehicles and weapons

As always there will be a wide range of vehicles and weapons. Some of the vehicles include a semi truck, crop duster, pick up trucks, quad bike, and many more. These vehicles are all customizable, but we will get to that later. Weapons include melee weapons like shovels and baseball bats, assault rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, and more.

Key New Gameplay Features

Everything from cars to your character will be fully customizable. This will be a first in the series to allow you to create the character that you want. In a first-person game that usually does not matter, however, the game will be completely cooperative with a friend. Before you could play with a friend through certain parts of the game, but not you can complete everything with another player. To discover new objectives, things to do, and the general map will be different. Before the player would have to climb a tower to unlock more of the map to see what is around them. Now, this experience is more organic. Players will walk around and talk to people for information on Hope County. Signs will let you know about specific areas in the map, and other details will give you hints of what is around. For those of you who are creative, the map editor is back. This feature has been absent since the second title in the franchise. Not a lot of details are known, but players will freely be able to create game types and maps. The mode is described to let players utilize 5,000 assets from both Far Cry and other Ubisoft games such as Assassin’s Creed. Taking more control of Hope County will make the cult leaders react. If you are in an area that is more run by Jacob and you start to get on his nerves, he may send attack planes your way or other threats to stop you. Everything you do will have an impact on Hope County, both positive and negative.

far cry 5 fishing

DLC

A recent announcement revealed what the post-game content will look like. One will feature a Vietnam adventure, a crazy zombie experience, and players will go to Mars to fight aliens. As always, Far Cry is keeping things weird and fun in its DLC.

What to do?

Players will have more than going into compounds and other areas controlled by the cult. Hunting wildlife has always been an option in every entry. Bears, deer, wolves, and much more will be featured to hunt down. Fishing will be another relaxing past time to take a break from explosions and murder. As you take down resistance areas that the cult has under control, you will gain more people on your side to resist against the cult. This will earn more side quests and objectives to do. There will be a mix of new activities such as fishing while you will get your typical experience from any game in the series by taking down enemies in various places around the map.
