Now that Kevin Feige runs not just the movies that Marvel produces, he is heading the comics and TV shows too. Yesterday (Nov. 10) Feige was on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast where he confirmed that She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel will appear both on the small and big screens.
“Some characters we’ve announced like She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight you will meet for the first time on a Disney+ show and then they’ll go into the movies but the MCU will now go back and forth,” he said to THR.
Feige has already confirmed now with Disney+ that fans will get to see heroes crossover between the streaming service and the blockbuster movies. Before under Jeph Loeb with the Netflix series like Jessica Jones and Daredevil, there was no weaving between TV and movies. The shift in positions between Feige and Loeb leads to this new direction for the MCU.
These Disney+ shows are currently in the writing process. The first of which is Bisha K. Ali (Four Weddings and a Funeral) who will pen Mr. Marvel. Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) and Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) will both work on Moon Knight and She-Hulk.
“We are certainly doing cinematic art-level productions for Disney+,” he said. “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is currently shooting and just yesterday, I got back from the set of WandaVision, which is shooting.”
Disney+ releases tomorrow, Nov. 12. You can read about everything that’s to come to the platform here.
